World Wallet support
World Wallet is an expense tracker that keeps everything on your phone. Each month your spending builds a 3D tower on a globe, starting from the base city you choose. The tower reaches the Moon at 50% of your budget, Mars at 80% and the Sun at 110%. Each floor is one payment, styled by its category.
Payments can arrive automatically after you tap to pay, or you can add them yourself. The app also has budgets, categories, a review queue, insights, monthly history with replay, CSV export, JSON backup and restore, and English and Hebrew screens.
Set up automatic capture on iPhone
iOS doesn't give apps direct access to your payments. Instead, a Shortcuts automation sends each Apple Pay payment to World Wallet. You set it up once:
- Open the Shortcuts app and go to the Automation tab.
- Tap New Automation (or +) and choose Transaction.
- Select the card or cards in Wallet you want to track.
- Choose Run Immediately so the automation doesn't ask you each time, then tap Next.
- Add the Log Payment action from World Wallet. Searching "Log Payment" finds it.
- In the action, set Amount to the Shortcut Input's Amount and Merchant to its Merchant. You can map the card name too, if you like.
- Tap Done.
Make a real payment to test it, then open World Wallet and go to Settings → Payment capture. The imported count should go up, or the payment will show up under "Needs review".
The app can't see whether your automation exists. iOS doesn't allow that, so the payment test is the only way to confirm it works. Shortcuts field names can vary slightly between iOS versions.
Frequently asked questions
Why wasn't a payment captured?
- The automation only runs for cards you selected in step 3, and only when you pay with that card from Wallet. Paying with the plastic card or typing the card number on a website doesn't trigger it.
- If "Run Immediately" is off, iOS waits for you to tap a notification before it runs.
- Check that Amount and Merchant are mapped in the Log Payment action. If one is empty, the payment goes to "Needs review" instead of the list.
- Payments import when World Wallet opens. In Settings → Payment capture, tap Check for payments to import anything waiting.
If a payment still didn't arrive, add it with Add payment on the Home or Payments screen.
How do I back up and restore my data?
Go to Settings → Share JSON backup and save the file somewhere safe, such as Files or iCloud Drive. To restore, go to Settings → Restore backup and pick the file. The app shows how many payments are in the backup and asks before it replaces anything. Restoring replaces all current data in the app and can't be undone.
For a spreadsheet, use Settings → Export CSV. A CSV is for reading, not for restoring.
How do I delete my data?
To delete one payment, swipe it in the Payments list, tap Delete next to it, or open it and tap Delete payment. To delete everything, delete the app from your iPhone, which removes all of its data. Backup or export files you shared, and iCloud device backups, stay where they are until you delete them there.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. World Wallet has no account and no server, and it doesn't use analytics or ads. Your data leaves the phone only when you export or share a backup yourself. See the privacy policy.
Which currencies are supported?
Your home currency is the Israeli shekel (₪). Totals, budgets and the tower are counted in ₪. A payment in another currency is saved with a "Needs ₪ amount" badge and left out of the totals until you open it and enter the ₪ amount from your card statement. The app works offline, so it doesn't look up exchange rates.
